Handmade Glass Jewelry by ATLANTIC ART GLASS
Glassblowers Linda and Ken Perrin create a range of decorative glass objects such as vases, bowls, paperweights, and jewelry. The couple shares a love for the beauty of nature and they combine talents to create regionally inspired glass of heirloom quality. Since 1997 Ken and Linda have been bringing the beauty of hand blown glass to Mount Desert Island and the state of Maine.
After apprenticing and working professionally with glass artists from coast to coast Linda with the help of Ken built their first studio in a small seaside wooden shop they rented in Hulls Cove, Maine. In this idyllic spot nestled amongst other artists on Mount Desert Island, Linda mastered the art of glass blowing and Ken, originally accomplished photographer, became hooked on glass.
After eight years in this small removed “hermitage,” demand for their unique work propelled them into a larger space, which they bought in the bustling neighboring town of Ellsworth. In this large converted warehouse the pair have ample room to create decorative blown glass as well as explore sculptural and architectural work in glass. The new hot shop is accessible to the public and the Perrins and the occasional visiting artist teach classes in the art of glass work.
