Can we say dramatic? This pendant is approximately 2.5" in diameter. That's a big piece! Since it's so airy it doesn't overwhelm most frames, yet you should be comfortable with attention. Each pendant is hand-formed, which the artist considers a nest as its wires fold protectively around a central pearl. You can also see that there are interesting tones going on here. The nest is formed from sterling silver wire, it is oxidized in such a way to achieve a gradient to add more dimension and pop. Kathy is never sure how the gradient is going to come out... there can be gold tones and tones of blue, pinkish reds, copper, sometimes a greenish hue. The process is exciting and means you will have a one of a kind piece since no two ever come out the same. The central pearl is pale gray as shown. You can also request pink, white, and dark gray to customize your piece even more. This pendant hangs on an 18" shiny sterling snake chain, so it can be worn with open necklines.
